Tham & Wong was established in 1991 to succeed the firm of Tham & Wong Consultants Pte Ltd which was established since 1984. This transition was in response to the implementation of the Professional Engineers Act of 1991. The firm of Tham & Wong is in full compliance with the requirements of the Professional Engineers Act 1991.

The company is managed by our principal engineer Er.Tham Poh Kuan who is a registered professional engineer with many years of experience in design, construction and project management of major construction projects. The company key objective is to provide engineering expertise and ingenuity to achieve the client's objectives including completing the projects on time, within budget and to the right quality.

Tham & Wong offers a full range of civil and structural engineering services covering infrastructural, residential, industrial, commercial and institutional projects. In recent years the company is also involved in a large number of conservation projects involving the restoration of historic buildings in Singapore. A noteable conservation project is the $7m 51 Neil Road project developed by the DBS Land Group.

From a modest beginning, Tham & Wong has grown over the years to become an established firm of consulting engineers with a wide range of projects. The company currently has a staff strength of 10 engineers, designers, draftsmen and construction supervisors.
